Description: For one hundred years, the China Grove Roller Mill was in continuous operation and was a meeting place for the agricultural community surrounding the town of China Grove. Farmers came to sell their grain for flour and corn meal production, to purchase farm necessities, and to socialize. When visitors enter the roller mill, they are transported to an earlier time.

Description: This 425-acre park located eight miles southeast of Salisbury, offers a ten-acre lake for paddle boating and fishing, the Rowan Wildlife Adventures, tennis courts, picnic shelters, the Hurley Family Water Plaza, playgrounds, volleyball, horseshoes, ball fields, miniature golf, carousel, gem mining, a fresh water aquarium, and miniature train ride for children. The 80 site family campground is open all year round and includes an outdoor theatre!

Description: Those who are looking for a great view, nice bird watching, and a short hike may find Dunn's Mountain Park in Salisbury, North Carolina to be a fun day trip with the family. Eagle Point Nature Preserve

Description: A 200 -acre natural area on remote part of High Rock Lake gives visitors the opportunity to hike four and a half miles of trails to vistas of the lake and wildlife observation points. Gold Hill Mines Historic Park

Description: This 70-acre historic theme park is the site of Barnhardt and Randolph Gold Mines, reportedly, the richest mining properties East of the Mississippi. Gold Hill is home of the first gold rush. The park facilities are available for private, formal/informal, banquets, corporate events, educational events, weddings, and more.

Young players, generally one year out of high school or college, become Kannapolis Intimidators. The Intimidators are one of the 14 teams of the Class-A South Atlantic League.
